Well, I must admit that turning 30 wasn't really all that bad! My 20's were filled with much joy and great sadness. So, I truly feel like I earned that 'grown-up' feeling & sense of respect from other adults that comes with saying, 'Yes, I am 30':) To celebrate my big birthday, we all went to a show (without the kiddos) at the Shadowbox Cabaret in Northern KY/Cincy and had more than a few laughs!! I could post a video of my dad being pulled up on stage, but I'll spare him....for now, anyway!!
It was a wonderful 2.5 weeks with the tree. The aroma would hit you me in the face and I was taken back to childhood Christmases. Unfortunately, the tree has been causing Evie and Kristin's allergies to go bananas. Tis a sad, sad day! For we shall ne'er have another live tree again.
We had a great Friday evening in Austin at Southpark Meadows. They had a great light set up programmed to sync with Christmas music. Evie enjoyed the lights, danced to the music , and played on the slides.
This weekend has been hectic. We moved from our apartment to a temporary rent house until the one we wanted is available (long story). We are as settled in as possible.
We did manage to get Evie a little pool for the patio and she enjoyed a lot.
The Boudreaux's came to visit us in San Antonio for their summer vacation. We had nearly everyone here but missed seeing Nanny Blair, Audrey, Glenn, Malorie & Tyler, and Ben. Evangelene had fun entertaining her Aunts, Parrain Matt and especially Mimi and Happy. We spent the long weekend enjoying everything that San Antonio has to offer. Their visit included a trip to Sea World, shopping at the Outlets at San Marcos and La Cantera, the Michael Buble Concert and of course the Riverwalk and The Alamo......whewww!!! We sure stayed busy, but really enjoyed every glass of wine, every laugh, all the great food and especially the memories we made.
